justin townes earle @ the autry musuem in griffith park 2.25.11 Part I

ps justin townes earle makes his own brand of americana music combining acoustic blues, folk, and country. joining him on stage were josh hedley on fiddle and bryn davies on upright base. they both couldn't have sounded any better. unfortunately justin was suffering from a migraine, but he kept the show rolling. applause to you, justin. i could see the pain in his eyes which made every song more magical. justin's past did pop up as he playfully made comments about it, including his failed relationships and drug abuse. this nashville-born singer-songwriter doesn’t shy away from discussing his troubled past. i personally don't judge, justin townes earle is golden! i must mention that he performed an untitled new song. hmm.. makes me wonder if he might be confessing to some personal mistakes? "maybe i said some things i shouldn't, maybe i caused a scene" before adding, "it won't be the last time."
his latest album, "harlem river blues", was released in september 2010.
ps ps this was my first seeing him live and heck yeah i hope to see him again. thank you justin for coming and playing at the autry!
